I TEXTED YOU, GURL!

Mabel, Edikan and I went to the administrative block to register for the session. While we were on the queue, I was just asking Mabel, “chic, were you high last night?”, she turned, looked at me and laughed.

Just then, one neatly dressed guy walked up to Mabel, and started 'chyking' her. I pretended not to hear what they were saying, but Mabel was just smiling and laughing. Then it got to Mabel's turn...she went into the office to register. Omo! This guy saw another fine chic, went to the gurl and started 'chyking' her too...asked for her contact. I was like, 'whaaaat!???? Na wa oh'.

I quickly pulled out my fone, went to my Whatsapp and typed in Mabel' profile, 'he is chyking another chic oh'.

She replied, 'seriously? Hmmm....'.

And I typed, 'this guy na wa oh, even after chyking you ' and pressed the SEND tab.

She then replied and said, 'which guy?'.

It was my turn on the queue so I didn't reply the message, I went inside the office, while Mabel came out. Few minutes later, I was done with registration, and Edikan went in. I came out to meet Mabel arguing on the phone with someone, I just waited while wondering what happened. Immediately  Mabel dropped the call, I asked her what happened, she said, 'hmmm....that was Derek, he is asking me who 'chyked' me this afternoon, I told him no one, then he asked me which guy talked to me last, so we started arguing. I am thinking it's Edikan that told him about the guy that 'chyked' me".

I asked, "why would she do that?" 

Mabel replied, "you know Derek is her cousin na".

"shuo, cousin ko, cousin ni".

Just then, Max came strolling by, and I just thought, arrrghhhh...this nerd, this guy! and before I could spell, ANNOYING backwards, Max shouted 'hey Christy'. I excused myself from Mabel and Edikan; who just joined at the spot we stood, and went to meet Max. Max just went on bla bla bla, with his boring gists. I got out my phone and typed on Whatsapp, 'this guy is always so boring', pressed SEND to Mabel. I noticed her type with her phone but she didn't reply my msg. After I finally got rid of Max, I went back to Mabel and Edikan.  Mabel said, 'Yoohoo! He let you go so fast..sup?', I replied, 'is that why you didn't reply my msg?' 'what message?' 'come on, I am sure my messages got delivered on your whatsapp' 'oh that! I thought I told u' 'That? Is your phone bad?' 'Nope, I forgot my phone in Derek's car when he dropped me at home last night'

'whaaatttttttttt???'

10p.m. the Previous day:

“Hey babes”

“Yes dearie”

“How are you na?”

“Just fine oh”

“I went out with that guy yesterday”

“which guy?”

“the one we met at the mall, that his elder brother was trying to toast you na”

“Okay, Okay! So how did it go?”

“Well, I enjoyed the date”

“You went to his house?”

“Yes, oh! But it was just a date, nothing more”

“Did you guys have sex?”

"*shocked* Mabel, if you are high, better go to bed :-D. You know me better na”

“Did he touch you?”

“Okay, Mabel, that’s enough…shey you have gone clubbing again with that your alcohol-addict boyfriend called Derek. Goodnight, we’ll talk when I see you in school tomorrow”.
